I like when liquid glass moves
I find skeuomorphism annoying. My 250ppi screen is the culmination of centuries of technological advancement, I don't need to have it show clock hands to make telling the time feel more "natural".
So to me Apple's liquid glass is an unnecessary, temporary trend to primarily add flair for TV ads, not meaningfully improve UX.
I noticed something recently though: a surprising interaction only noticeable to those of us that alt+tab far too rapidly.
It combines 1) scrolling a tall-enough page and 2) alt+tabbing while the page's "scroll inertia" keeps it scrolling downward. While stationary the alt+tab glass-like overlay effect will warp the page, but while in motion, especially at a high refresh rate it's captivating to watch it warp things. Like a bead of rain falling down a window.
If you're on a Mac/Tahoe go try it yourself! Go scroll a long enough page and see if it gets you too. You may catch yourself randomly scrolling and holding alt+tab just for fun.
